Tom is a Vietnam veteran who served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966. He was a long time commander of the Disabled American Veterans chapter 24. Tom is also a member of the Vietnam Veterans Association Chapter 116. He was instrumental in many fund raising cause for the DAV and VVA. Tom construction skills were very help with the renovation of the Leominster Veterans Halls and offices.
